Kristian Bezuidenhout
Called “the finest living exponent of the fortepiano” (the Herald, UK), Kristian Bezuidenhout is best known for bringing a new dimension to the interpretation of Mozart’s piano music. Trained as a modern pianist, Bezuidenhout quickly fell in love with the fortepiano—an early version of the piano most commonly seen today. He brings vigor, potency, and virtuosity to an instrument that is typically defined by its constraints. Bezuidenhout’s solo performance will include music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
